Prayed Up

Get prayed up and prepared.

     Trust God in the midst of chaos, but also be prepared in obedience. Act out of wisdom; not fear. Make sure during this weird season we are in, to respond out of faith instead of reacting out of fear. If Christ were here on earth during this pandemic, how would He respond? He would spread peace, not panic. He would show love, not hate. He would pray and prepare. Faith and fear are contagious; choose faith. It's our job as Christians to take the initiative to tell others about putting trust in the Lord during this time of economic crisis. God is in control. He always provides. 'This is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life- whether you have enough food or drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn't life more than food and your body more than clothing?' (Matthew 6:25.)

     Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not be afraid (John 14:27.) How you act during difficult times matters. It matters so greatly that it can determine if people go to heaven or hell. Seriously. Flesh may fail but greater is He living in us to spread the gospel. "Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow" (James 1:2-3.)

     Take this slowed down season to spend time in the word, with your family, and just enjoying life not being so hectic. Go outside; get fresh air and sunshine. Stop and smell the roses. Don't be scared under the circumstances, but still take precautions. Continue to wash your hands (as you normally should, even when we're not in a pandemic.) Say your prayers. Jesus and germs are everywhere! God has not left us; He never will. God keeps his promises. The prophecy is fulfilled. "For God is the one who provides seeds for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, He will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you" (2 Corinthians 9:10.)

     "When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people. If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive they sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place (2 Chronicles" (7:13-15.)
