God's Pumpkin Patch
"How is being a Christian like being a pumpkin? God picks you from the patch, brings you in, washes all the dirt off of you, cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff. He removes the seeds of doubt, hate and greed and then He carves you a new smiling face and put His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see." 🎃
Yesterday I was blessed to get to go to a pumpkin patch with my mom, dad, and little five-year-old cousin. They had goats, a playground, a corn maze, a zip line, a hayride, a pumpkin patch, and more. My little cousin had a blast, and so did my parents and myself. You're never too old for a pumpkin patch. God revealed to me some really special things while I was there.
My dad and I went in the corn maze and got lost. I mean really lost. I realized that we are completely lost without God; just running around thinking we know the way, when we actually have no clue. We keep going up and down, around and around, and we can't find the way out. We get so lost and trapped in ourselves that we don't even ask God where to go. We should ask Him to direct us to follow HIS path. "In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." -Proverbs 3:6. He will guide you out of the crazy maze that you're trapped in.
Every pumpkin in the patch is unique and different from the rest, just like everyone is unique and different! God makes all us His children so special. Some pumpkins are orange, some are white, some are even green. "Jesus loves the little children, all the little children of the world. Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight, Jesus loves the little children of the world!" God loves you so much, no matter your color or size. Shine with the light of Jesus inside you for everyone to see!✨
Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, "I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won't have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life (John 8:12.)
Have a blessed October, God's little pumpkin! 🎃
Love always, Kendal Gracie
