Be an Example of Jesus

Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you (1 Timothy 4:12-16.)
Don't you just love when you see a little kid praying or singing "Jesus loves me" with so much joy in them? It makes you think, "How great is it to be so genuinely happy and full of excitement for the Lord?" We still need to feel this way as adults. I want people to look at me and think, "She is so happy with life. She loves Jesus so much." Lord, let them see you in me. If we don't teach children and young believers to follow Christ, the world will teach them not to. We should do all things through Him to serve others and teach His lessons. Be more like Jesus every day. This is not just a message to teaching good examples to those younger than us; it's also to teach the ones older than us that sometimes forget and lose their excitement and passion about Jesus Christ. Sometimes life gets to people, and they need a little refresher of what is truly important.
This blog is more of a reflection to think about your actions and how they affect others. My prayer for you is that you always try to be the best example of Jesus you can be. Here are many great bible verses about being a good example:
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6.)
For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you (John 13:15.)
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16.)
Do everything without complaining or arguing. (Philippians 2:14.)
